CHRISTOPHER PARKENING VIRTUOSO PERFORMANCES DVD 95 minutes $24.99 This performance DVD features four concerts from throughout the illustrious career of classical guitar virtuoso Christopher Parkening (filmed in 1971, 1973, 1998 and 2003). Viewers can watch the concerts in their entirety, or select certain songs. As a bonus, there is archival footage of Andrés Segovia performing in Paris in 1950. The DVD also includes an informational booklet. Personal Note: Randy Osborne-the owner of Fine Fretted String Instruments is the voice that made this DVD possible. I pleaded with the copyright owner to not let these 1971 and 1973 performances sit on the shelf, but to change the format to DVD, so that it could be welcomed in today’s market. I’m very proud to have done this. This conversation was at the same time as to the origin as to why the Sabicas: King of the Flamenco Guitar - DVD 37 minutes $19.95 exists due to my efforts three to four years ago.
